My MIL keeps telling me to drink only warm water now that im pregnant, says cold water is bad for baby. is there actually anything to this or just a ghar wala myth? curious what others do.
Beta warm water for drinking is fine and actually nice for digestion and throat. Just dont make it too hot, lukewarm is enough. For bathing also keep it warm not very hot, and a foot soak in warm water feels lovely for tired legs.
Warm water to drink is totally fine, I sipped it all through both pregnancies for gas and acidity. Only thing, avoid very hot baths, hot tubs and steam saunas, those raise body temp too much. Keep your bath water comfortably warm and you are good.
I drink warm water after my morning walk and it feels good, no issue. But my gynac told me to skip very hot showers as it can make me dizzy. So warm and gentle is the way honestly.
