These days i just want to eat idli dosa morning and night, nothing else stays down. My MIL keeps saying eat more rich food but this is the only thing not making me nauseous. Is it actually fine to eat so much of it?
Idli was literally the only thing I could keep down some mornings, so soft and light. Saved me during the sick weeks. Steamed is best, gentle on the stomach.
Yes both are fine and easy to digest. Idli especially is gentle when you feel queasy. Just dont overdo oily dosa with lots of ghee daily, balance it with veggies and protein.
They are good but I'll add, if you have any sugar issue go light on idli since rice can raise it. I balanced with extra sambar and a side of protein. Otherwise its a healthy choice.
Ma idli is so good in pregnancy, light, fermented and easy on the tummy. I had it almost daily, especially when nausea was bad. Just go easy on too much spicy chutney if you get acidity.
