Past few days im feeling super thirsty all the time, drinking way more water than usual. My period is due in a week so just wondering. Did anyone feel extra thirsty before they found out?
I felt really thirsty in my early weeks and kept drinking water all day. My gynac said it can happen as blood volume increases. But thirst alone isnt a sure sign, a test confirms it.
It can be, the body needs more fluids in pregnancy. But increased thirst can also mean other things like high sugar, so dont assume only pregnancy. If it is excessive, mention it to your doctor.
Just a gentle note, a lot of thirst can also be a sugar thing, that is how my GD got noticed. So if it feels excessive please get your sugar checked. For me they caught it through this.
