Cold sweet things are the only thing I feel like eating after lunch. I had ice cream twice this week and then felt guilty. Did anyone have it sometimes during pregnancy?
Occasional ice cream is fine, just go for properly stored branded ones and avoid raw egg based or unhygienic local stuff. Don't overdo the sugar daily. Both my pregnancies had their ice cream moments, totally okay in balance.
Ice cream was my biggest craving, I won't even lie. Branded good quality one in moderation is fine. I just avoided the open roadside softy types to be safe about hygiene. Enjoy a scoop, you deserve it.
If ice cream was banned in pregnancy half of us wouldn't survive haha. Have it, just don't make it a 3 times a day thing. Good quality, stored well, and enjoy without guilt yaar.
My app flagged to be mindful of soft serve and unpasteurised dairy, so I stuck to sealed packaged ice cream and that felt safe. Moderation was the keyword. A scoop here and there never gave me any trouble.
I had to be careful because of sugar levels, so I limited it a lot and chose smaller portions. If you don't have any sugar issue then occasional ice cream is fine. Just stick to packaged, well stored ones for hygiene.
