Is it normal to be extremely tired during pregnancy?
Im 9 weeks and honestly i feel drained the whole day, like just walking to kitchen tires me out. I sleep fine at night but still no energy. Is this normal at this stage or should i worry?
Oh god yes, in my first trimester I felt like I could sleep standing up. I felt guilty for being so lazy but it was just the pregnancy. It got so much better in the second trimester, hang in there.
Tiredness is normal but if it feels extreme along with breathlessness, dizziness or palpitations, get your hemoglobin and thyroid checked. Mine turned out to be low iron and a supplement fixed it. Worth a quick test.
I was exhausted and still going to work, it was brutal in the early months. I started taking short naps at lunch and slept early. Listen to ur body and dont push too hard, the energy comes back.
I was so worried I was the only one this tired! Glad to see its common. Did the tiredness ease up for you all in the middle months? mine just started feeling a bit better.
Completely normal, your body is doing huge work building the placenta. Rest whenever you can, dont fight it. Just make sure your iron and Hb are checked, low iron makes tiredness worse.
