Is it normal to have severe headaches during pregnancy?
Im 16 weeks and getting really bad headaches that dont go easily. It scares me a little because they feel stronger than my normal ones. Want to ask my gynac but also wondering if this is common for you all.
Mild headaches from hormones or dehydration can happen, but the word severe worries me a bit. Severe headaches especially with blurred vision, swelling or high BP must be checked by your gynac immediately, don't wait on those. Please get your BP checked.
Some headaches are normal early on, usually from hormones, low sugar or not enough water. But severe and persistent ones aren't something to brush off. Hydrate, rest, eat on time, and if it stays bad get it checked, especially your blood pressure.
I used to panic over headaches a lot honestly. But I learnt severe ones aren't to be ignored, so I always called my doctor instead of googling. Please do get checked, especially if it's with vision changes, better safe.
Don't panic but don't ignore it either beta. A normal mild headache from tiredness is okay, water and rest usually fix it. But if it's truly severe or not going, ring your gynac and get that BP checked.
I used to get headaches and turned out my levels needed adjusting, so regular follow-up matters. Don't self diagnose a severe headache. Keep your checkups regular and tell the doctor, sometimes it's pointing to something that needs attention.
