My husband and I have been hesitant about intimacy since I got pregnant. Is it generally safe to have sex throughout pregnancy, assuming there are no complications?
Honestly, with my non-stop vomiting, sex was the last thing on my mind. But my doc did say it is medically safe. If you have energy and no complications, go for it!
Totally safe unless your gynac has strictly put a lock on it! Baby is safe inside their cozy balloon, they won't even know what's happening. Just keep it gentle.
I completely understand the anxiety, it feels so scary initially. Just go very slow and talk to your husband about how you are feeling. Comfort is most important.
I was so terrified that it might cause a miscarriage or something. I kept googling every position and even called my gynac twice to double check! But she assured me it is 100% fine as long as there is no bleeding.
It's totally safe as long as your pregnancy is uncomplicated. Just listen to your body, and post delivery (especially C-section like mine), please give yourself at least 6-8 weeks of healing time before starting again.
In our family, elders usually say to avoid it, but medically our doctor cleared it. If you have any history of preterm pain or spotting, please avoid and ask doctor first.
