We dont eat fish much at ghar but my husband ordered salmon and I really wanted some. thoda confused about fish in pregnancy because of the mercury thing everyone talks about. anyone here had salmon while expecting?
As long as it's fully cooked and fresh, salmon is actually super healthy for baby's brain. Just buy it from a hygienic place and avoid raw preparations completely. If u feel any discomfort, just ask your doc during the weekly visit.
Uff, salmon cooked nicely is fine, but please make sure it's not raw sushi because we don't want any infection, trust me sleepless nights with a newborn are enough. My baby is keeping me awake since 3 am today, so I can barely think, but definitely cook it very well!
Salmon has good nutrients but during my pregnancy with high thyroid levels, I was super careful about everything I ate. Make sure you get your blood tests done on time and ask your doctor if salmon fits your diet plan. Regular follow ups are very important.
Salmon is actually great for omega-3 but it has to be fully cooked, definitely no raw or smoked fish. It's always best to check with your gynac once about the mercury levels and how often you can eat it. They know your health profile best.
God bless u, eat simple food and be happy. If u eat non-veg, make sure it is fully clean and cooked with good thoughts. Praying for your healthy journey, take care of your little one.
