Im 24 weeks now and i always wake up lying flat on my back, cant help it in sleep. Read somewhere its not good after a point. Is this true ya im overthinking?
Early pregnancy mein theek hai, but as baby grows, back sleeping avoid karna chahiye, ho na. Doctor tells us to sleep on the left side to keep good blood flow. Use a thin pillow under your back if you roll over by mistake, tension mat lo.
During my second trimester, the medical team at my hospital specifically briefed me to avoid sleeping flat on my back because it compresses a major blood vessel. They advised left-side sleeping and even showed me the correct pillow placements. I'd highly suggest asking your hospital's prenatal educator or gynac to demonstrate the safest positions for you.
Listen, dear, don't sleep on your back once your belly starts showing. Side sleeping, especially on the left, is much safer for your little one's blood circulation. If you roll onto your back in the night, don't worry, just gently turn to the side and rest peacefully.
I always tell moms here that side sleeping is the gold standard, especially after 20 weeks. Don't panic if you wake up on your back sometimes—our bodies naturally shift. Just keep a long pillow next to you to block yourself from turning completely.
My gynac said sleeping on the side is best, especially after a heavy dinner! I usually have my late-night kheer cravings and then tuck myself with pillows on the left side so digestion is also smooth. Avoid sleeping flat on your back, it just makes heartburn worse too.
Actually, sleeping on your back after the first trimester is not ideal, yaar. It can make you feel super dizzy because of the baby's weight pressing down. Try to sleep on your left side; it's much safer and increases blood flow to the placenta.
In the first trimester it is fine, but later my mother and dadi strictly made me sleep on my side. They used to tuck a soft pillow behind my back so I wouldn't roll over in my sleep. It is much more comfortable for the baby and helps you sleep peacefully too.
Nahi behen, zyada der peeth ke bal nahi sona chahiye jab pet badhne lage. Baayein karwat (left side) lekar sona sabse achha aur surakshit hota hai bachhe ke liye. Agar raat me neend me seedhe ho jao, toh ghabrana mat, bas firse karwat le lena.
I've been reading up on this since we are planning to conceive soon, and apparently left-side sleeping is the best! Is it really hard to train yourself to sleep only on one side? I'm such a back sleeper, so I'm already looking at those giant C-shaped pregnancy pillows!
Sleeping on the back is a big no-no later on, unless you want to feel like a turtle stuck on its shell, haha! Side sleeping is the way to go. Just buy a couple of pillows to build a mini fortress around yourself so you don't roll over!
Shuruat mein chal jata hai, par baad mein left side ho kar hi sona chahiye, haan! Back pe sone se peeth dard bhi badh jata hai aur baby ko oxygen-blood flow bhi kam hota hai, na. Ek chota takiya legs ke beech mein rakh lo, bohot aaram milega.
It is generally not recommended in the second and third trimesters because it can restrict blood flow to the baby. But honestly, every pregnancy is different, so please check with your gynac at your next visit. They can give you the safest advice based on your body and scans.
