Jamun season is here and i just love them. Saw somewhere they are good for sugar control but wanted to check if its safe to eat freely in pregnancy. Im in my second trimester.
Jamun is lovely beta, our elders say it is good for digestion and blood. Have a handful when in season, just wash well and dont eat on a totally empty stomach. And never gulp water right after jamun, the old saying.
Jamun is one of the better fruits sugar wise, my doc was happy with it when I had GD. Still, eat a reasonable amount not a whole bag. Lovely seasonal fruit, just keep portions in check like everything.
Ohh jamun season was my favourite when I was pregnant. That purple tongue and tangy taste, loved it. Had a small bowl with a little salt. Totally fine and so satisfying for a craving.
Yes jamun is fine and actually good, helps with digestion. I ate it whenever it was in season. Just dont overeat at once and wash properly. Moderation like any fruit, you are good.
