I've been craving nimbu pani like crazy these days, having it 2-3 times a day. Im 8 weeks and it actually settles my nausea a bit. But is too much lime ok for the baby?
Yes lime is fine and actually nice for that fresh feeling and the queasiness. Just watch for acidity, some women get heartburn with too much citrus later in pregnancy. Moderation as usual.
I used to worry if the sourness was too much for the baby but my doctor laughed and said its just a normal food, totally fine. So dont overthink it like I did, a glass of nimbu pani is okay.
Lime was a lifesaver for my nausea honestly. A glass of nimbu pani with a little salt helped settle my stomach and kept me hydrated. Vitamin C too. Just dont have it on a totally empty stomach if you get acidity.
We use lemon a lot in our food and my amma said a little nimbu water is cooling and good. It helped my queasiness in early months. Anything in normal food amounts is fine.
