we make methi paratha and sabzi a lot at ghar pe, but someone told me methi is heaty and not good in early days. is that true yaar? im just 7 weeks so being extra careful.
I recently delivered my baby and during my early pregnancy, I used to eat methi paratha and sabzi quite often. It helped me with digestion and never caused any issues. Just eat it in moderation and enjoy your food.
Please be careful with what you eat in the first trimester. I had some early bleeding complications, so my doctor told me to avoid excess heat-inducing foods like methi seeds and to eat cooked leaves very sparingly. Better to ask your doctor once to be safe.
Methi leaves are rich in iron, so having them cooked as sabzi is actually great for your body. I had a smooth normal delivery and ate a balanced diet with lots of green veggies. Just keep the portions normal and stay positive!
Eating methi leaves as a vegetable in normal food is totally fine and healthy. But don't take methi seeds or extracts in large amounts as they can cause heat. For any major stomach cramps or bleeding, always consult your doctor immediately.
