I have to travel to office daily and metro is the fastest for me. But during rush hours it gets so crowded and ppl push, im a little worried about the standing and the jerks. anyone here travelled by metro through their pregnancy? how was it?
I took metro daily till my 7th month for work, totally fine. Just travel in non peak hours if you can, and use the priority seats, people do give them up if you ask. Avoid the crazy rush crowd, thats the only real issue.
Metro is honestly safer than bumpy auto or cab in city traffic imo. The jerks are minimal. Just hold the railing while standing and dont let anyone push you. I did it the whole pregnancy.
Both times I used metro no problem. The one thing, dont rush for the doors when it stops, let it go and take the next one. No need to run anywhere now, that running and sudden stops is what to avoid.
I used to worry so much about the standing and crowd but the women's coach was a lifesaver for me, less pushing. Carry water and a small snack in case you feel faint. If you feel dizzy or unwell sit down immediately or get off.
