My saas keeps pushing me to drink milk twice a day but i genuinely hate the taste and it makes me nauseous. Is it really must have or can i get calcium from other things? Pls share.
Honestly, you don't need to buy expensive high-protein pregnancy milks or force yourself if you hate normal milk. Curd, cheap paneer, or local ragi are great, budget-friendly calcium sources. Talk to your doctor during your regular checkup and they can write cheap calcium tablets too.
After my IVF cycle, I was told to eat very healthy, but milk made me feel so nauseous. My doctor gently told me that calcium is what’s important, not just milk itself. You can easily take calcium supplements or eat paneer and almonds instead.
I panicked so much because the smell of milk made me throw up, and my MIL kept saying baby won't get calcium! But my gynac reassured me it’s totally fine. I switched to curd and buttermilk, and my baby was born perfectly healthy.
I am planning my pregnancy right now and literally dreading this because I hate milk! It's so relieving to know we have other options. Are you guys taking any specific calcium supplements instead of milk?
Haan na, sab log peeche pad jaate hain ki doodh piyo! Actually, milk is not absolutely compulsory if you hate it. You can easily have curd, paneer, or even ragi for calcium, so chill.
During my recovery after C-section, my doctors focused a lot on calcium for bone strength, but I preferred curd and cheese over milk. Don't force yourself if it makes you throw up. Just make sure you are getting your calcium from other food items.
Haha, standard Indian household rule: pregnant ho toh doodh piyo! Honestly, if the smell of milk makes you want to run away, just skip it. Have some ice cream or cheese instead—your baby won't complain about the upgrade!
