We have a sahjan tree at home and my mom keeps making moringa leaves sabzi for me. I heard it's good for iron but thoda confused if it's safe in pregnancy. Anyone know?
Please be very careful, dear. Since I had a loss in my first pregnancy, I became super paranoid and avoided any strong herbs or moringa altogether just to be 100% safe. Do ask your doctor before taking it.
I have heard from elders that drumstick leaves are very healthy for iron, but since we are trying to conceive, I'm a bit shy to ask my family. Better to check with a doctor first to be sure.
Sending you so much love and positive energy. When we are on this precious journey, especially after a lot of struggles, it is always best to double-check every single food with your doctor before eating.
Moringa is amazing for milk supply after delivery, I had it a lot during postpartum. But during pregnancy, I only ate it in small cooked amounts occasionally after my gynac said it's fine.
Haha, my mom tried to put moringa in my dal, my sabzi, even my soup! It is very healthy but don't eat it like it's a cure-all, and always confirm with your doctor first so you don't overdo it.
I used to put a tiny bit of powder in my green smoothies, but only after getting a green light from my doctor. Pair it with mild walks or prenatal yoga if your doctor allows, it keeps energy levels high.
