I add kali mirch to almost everything, my dal, my rasam, even my morning kadha. Now im 11 weeks and suddenly worried if all that spice is ok for baby. Anyone else still eating pepper normally?
Black pepper in normal cooking amounts is totally fine, we use it in rasam and it even helps with cold. My amma always added a little. Just dont have it in huge quantities, normal food levels are safe.
I had pepper in my food all through both pregnancies, no issue. Its just a spice, normal amounts are safe. If you have acidity, then maybe go easy, otherwise enjoy your masala.
Beta a pinch of kali mirch in milk helped me with throat and cold during pregnancy. In cooking quantity its perfectly fine. Only avoid eating it in very large amounts, moderation is the key.
