Poha is good but it is still rice flakes, so I balanced it with peanuts, veggies and sometimes a side of curd or sprouts to slow the sugar. Worked fine for me. Portion size matters more than the food itself.
Poha is great honestly. Its light, easy to digest and has iron in it. Add peanuts, peas, some veggies and a squeeze of lemon and its a balanced breakfast. I ate it loads in both pregnancies.
Poha was one of the few things I could keep down with my nausea, so light on the tummy. Have it freshly made and not too oily. Lemon on top helped my queasiness too.
Yaar poha is comfort food and totally pregnancy friendly. Load it with peanuts and veggies for that extra goodness. I could eat it morning, noon and night honestly.
