My MIL makes ragi malt in the morning and says it will give strength. I like it but sometimes it feels heavy on my stomach. Did anyone drink ragi malt regularly while pregnant?
Honestly ragi is cheap and so good for baby, much better than fancy health drinks they sell. I bought ragi flour and made malt at home, saved money and it was healthier. Win win actually.
I take ragi malt after my morning walk, it gives good energy without feeling heavy. Make it fresh though, dont keep it long. Pairs nicely with the whole healthy routine.
In our home ragi is given to pregnant women always, my amma made ragi malt with little jaggery and cardamom for me. It kept me full and my doc was happy with my calcium levels. Warm or cold both fine na.
Ragi itself is healthy but be careful with the sugar or jaggery part. I had GD so my dietician told me to take it plain or with very little jaggery. Better to ask ur gynac how much is ok for u.
Haan ragi malt is really good, full of calcium and iron. I had it for breakfast through both my pregnancies. Just dont add too much sugar, keep it light.
