My MIL keeps making saag almost every other day saying its full of iron and good for me. I do like it but eating it so often, is that fine during pregnancy? just want to make sure.
Haan saag is really good na, full of iron and so comforting in winters. I ate it through my pregnancy. Just wash the greens really well and cook them properly, thats important.
Greens are wonderful in pregnancy, good for iron and folate. We make them differently down south but the idea is the same. Just clean them thoroughly and cook well, my gynac always encouraged greens.
Saag is a great choice, low on sugar and high on nutrients. I relied on greens a lot during my pregnancy. Just go easy on too much butter and cream on top.
