Im 25 weeks and i keep waking up on my back, i sleep that way by habit. Read somewhere its not good in later months and now thoda worried. Is it really bad? how do u all manage sleeping positions?
Oh my god, I used to wake up on my back and panic that I hurt my baby! Actually, doctors say sleeping on the left side is best, especially in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Try using a pregnancy pillow behind you so you don't roll over in your sleep.
Unless you want to feel like a turtle stuck on its shell, avoid the back-sleeping, haha! Left side sleeping is the golden rule now. Get one of those giant C-shaped pillows, it basically becomes your new spouse!
Please don't be hard on yourself if you find sleeping on your side difficult, as your body is going through so much. Side sleeping is gentler on your blood circulation, so try to prop yourself up with pillows to make it easier.
Yaar, actually sleeping on your back after the first trimester isn't great because the heavy belly presses on your blood vessels. Left side is the best position, so just tuck a pillow behind you to block yourself from rolling over.
It is better to sleep on your left side as it helps with blood flow to the baby. Don't worry if you roll onto your back occasionally, just turn back to your side.
Sleeping on your side, especially the left side, is highly recommended to keep the blood flow perfect. I used to put a regular pillow between my knees and it made side-sleeping so much more comfortable for my back!
