Im 11 weeks and my acidity is really bad these days, sometimes a cold soda just feels like the only thing that settles my stomach. But then i feel guilty after drinking it. Is it ok once in a while?
I craved a cold fizzy drink so badly some days, haha. I allowed myself a tiny bit occasionally but didnt make it a habit. Plain water with lemon actually satisfied me more in the end.
I had to fully avoid sugary sodas because of my sugar levels. Even otherwise the sugar load isnt good for anyone in pregnancy. If you want fizz, soda water without sugar is better, but ask your doctor.
Honestly soda isnt great, its just sugar and gas, no real benefit. The bubbles can worsen acidity and bloating which is already common in pregnancy. Better to stick to water, nimbu pani or coconut water.
