I order noodles and momos quite often and they come loaded with soy sauce. Im 4 months along. Suddenly got worried if its safe or i should cut it down. Anyone know na, is thoda thoda fine?
I used to love home-made fried rice with soy sauce during my pregnancy and my baby is a healthy toddler now! A little bit of soy sauce won't hurt at all. Just enjoy your food and don't overthink everything.
A little soy sauce at home is fine, but avoid eating expensive restaurant Chinese food often because the MSG and high sodium can cause high BP, leading to extra hospital visits and expensive tests. Cooking simple, low-sodium meals at home is much safer and pocket-friendly.
Since I have PCOS, I had to watch my processed food intake very closely during pregnancy. Soy sauce has a lot of sodium and preservatives, so I used it very sparingly to avoid bloating and water retention. It's best to keep it minimal.
Having a little soy sauce occasionally in your food is perfectly safe. Just be careful with high sodium foods as they can increase swelling in your feet. During my C-section recovery, I had to keep my diet very simple and low-salt.
I felt so guilty after eating Chinese food with soy sauce once, but my doctor told me a little bit is totally fine. It's just that the high salt content can make you feel more bloated. Try not to stress over small cravings!
It's totally fine in moderation! Just don't drink the whole bottle, haha. It has a lot of salt, so it might make you thoda thirsty and bloated, but occasional Chinese food is perfectly safe.
