I used to do surya namaskar every morning before this and it really kept me calm. Now im 6 weeks and not sure if i should continue or stop completely. Did anyone keep up their yoga in the early weeks?
I stopped surya namaskar in early pregnancy because it involves a lot of bending and stretching. My instructor and doc suggested gentle prenatal yoga instead. Please don't continue it without your gynac saying yes.
I switched to walking and light breathing exercises instead. The intense stretching of surya namaskar isn't worth the risk early on. Ask your doctor and they'll guide you to safe options.
I'd be careful with this, especially in the first trimester. Some poses aren't ideal early on. Definitely check with your doctor before doing it, that's what I did to be safe.
