Noticed some swelling down there for the last couple days and im about a week before my period is due. Feeling slightly embarrassed to ask but i genuinely dont know if its a pregnancy thing. Anyone else had this?
It can happen because blood flow down there increases in pregnancy, so some swelling is possible. But its not a reliable sign by itself, plenty of other things cause it too. Missed period plus a test is the actual answer.
Could be, the area gets more blood flow when pregnant. But dont stress too much reading symptoms one by one, just pee on a stick after your period is late and youll know for real.
Increased blood flow can cause it but if the swelling is painful, itchy, or one sided, please get it checked, could be an infection or something else needing treatment. Dont just assume its pregnancy.
I felt a bit of fullness and swelling down there early on and later realised it was the pregnancy hormones increasing blood flow. But honestly I only knew for sure after the test, not from the symptom.
