Is train journey safe during first trimester of pregnancy?
Im 9 weeks pregnant and have to travel to my parents ghar, its almost a 7 hour train ride. Thoda tension ho raha hai because of all the jerks and long sitting. Did any of u travel by train this early? was it ok?
My toddler is 2 now, but back then I had to take a 6-hour train trip. It's totally safe as long as the train ride isn't too bumpy and you get up to stretch your legs every hour.
My saas was completely against any travel in the first three months, but the doctor said it's fine if I take precautions. Just avoid eating station food and keep your family updated.
Trains are actually better than buses or cars as they have fewer jerks. Just remember to sanitize your hands, avoid using dirty toilets during train movement, and check with your gynac before booking.
I traveled by train in my first trimester, but I made sure to take a lower berth to avoid climbing. Just be gentle on yourself, don't carry heavy bags, and walk slowly to avoid any sudden jerks.
Currently in my 3rd trimester and the thought of any travel makes me want to cry! Yes, trains are mostly safe in the 1st trimester, just pack home-cooked food, drink bottled water, and occupy the lower berth like a queen.
It's safe, but only if you have a low-risk pregnancy with no bleeding. Book AC tier for a smoother ride, carry your own water, and avoid carrying heavy luggage yourself.
