What are reasons for missed period besides pregnancy?
My period is quite late, and naturally, I'm thinking about pregnancy. However, I know there can be other reasons too. What are some common reasons for a missed period besides pregnancy? I'm trying to understand all possibilities.
It could be due to hormonal imbalances, high stress levels, or sometimes even diet changes. Honestly, instead of guessing, doctor advice is best in these situations. They can easily run a quick panel to see if thyroid or prolactin is off.
My little one is 2 now, but back then my periods would go crazy if I was tired or traveled. Hormonal changes or even thyroid issues can delay it. It's totally common so don't lose sleep over it.
Don't spend too much on expensive home tests yet if they keep coming negative. It can just be stress or hormonal imbalance. Better to wait a week, then go to a local clinic for a basic blood test, it is much cheaper and accurate.
So many things can do this, like PCOS, thyroid fluctuations, or even basic lifestyle changes. If it is delayed by more than a week and tests are negative, a quick visit to your gynac will give u peace of mind.
Yaar, stress is literally the biggest culprit behind late periods! If you had a hectic month or even lost/gained weight suddenly, it can delay things. Just chill and don't stress too much, it will come.
Actually, post-pregnancy or even major body stress can delay cycles. After my C-section, my hormones took forever to settle down. If you've been sick or had a lot of physical stress lately, that could be why.
