Home test showed two lines but i want to confirm properly with a blood test now. Not sure exactly which test to ask for at the lab. Can someone tell me the name?
Beta hcg blood test confirms pregnancy and can even detect it slightly before a missed period. After that the doctor orders the routine antenatal blood tests. Just go get the beta hcg done if you want early confirmation.
Beta hcg is the blood test, it costs a bit more than a home kit. Honestly if you are not in a rush the urine kit at home works fine and is cheap. I only did the blood test once for confirmation.
My gynac said the blood test for confirming pregnancy is the beta hcg test, it is more sensitive than urine and can show earlier. They also do a full panel later, blood group, Hb, thyroid, sugar etc. The beta hcg is the confirming one.
