My period is 4 days late but the test is showing negative and im so confused. I have all the symptoms na, nausea and all. What could make the test wrong like this?
Most common reason is testing too early, hcg isnt high enough yet. Also diluted urine if you drank a lot of water, or not following the kit time properly. If period is still missing, wait 3-4 days and retest with morning urine.
Dont stress too much over one negative. Could just be too early or watery urine. Give it a few days, use a fresh kit in the morning, and if your period still doesnt come, go for a blood test.
My doctor listed a few, testing before missed period, very dilute urine, expired kit, or reading it too late or too soon. She said a blood test is most accurate if the home one keeps confusing you. Timing is everything.
Testing early is the biggest one. Also drinking too much water before, faulty or old kit, or not waiting the exact minutes on the strip. I'd track from your missed period date and test then for accuracy.
This happened to me, got a negative then a positive few days later. I tested way too early the first time. Did this happen to anyone else too? I almost gave up before the real positive came.
