Im around 6 weeks and on and off im getting this mild pulling kind of pain in lower tummy. Not very bad but enough to keep me anxious. Wanting to mention it to my gynac but is some pain normal at this stage?
Mild stomach pulling and cramps are very common early on, its the uterus stretching, plus gas and constipation which gets worse in pregnancy. But if the pain is sharp, one sided, severe or with bleeding, dont wait, call your gynac immediately.
I felt these little cramps in my early weeks and got so scared, thought something was wrong. My doctor said it was just the uterus growing and some gas. It settled. But she also told me to watch for heavy pain or bleeding, so keep that in mind.
I used to panic at every twinge, totally get you. Mostly its gas and stretching honestly, the digestion slows down so much in early pregnancy. But please dont self diagnose like I did, one call to the gynac for peace of mind is worth it if it feels off.
My gynac listed a few normal causes, implantation cramps, round ligament stretching, gas, bloating and constipation. The ones to never brush off are severe pain, fever, bleeding or shoulder tip pain, those need urgent care. So mild is usually okay, sharp is a doctor visit.
Some mild cramping is normal, but I want to gently say dont ignore strong pain. I had a scare early on and it needed checking. If your pain is severe, with spotting, or with dizziness, please get to your doctor right away, better safe.
