There is a lot of tension at home n at work right now and i cant seem to stay calm. Im 5 months and i keep worrying that all this stress is reaching the baby somehow. How much does it actually affect things?
Yaar honestly the worst thing about pregnancy stress is that we stress about being stressed. Just breathe, watch something light, call me whenever. Don't take so much load on yourself.
Don't worry too much beta, a little stress is part of life and the baby is safe. Just try not to stay tense all the time. Rest properly and share your feelings, that lightens it a lot.
I used to listen to some calming bhajans and just sit quietly for ten minutes daily. Staying positive really made my days easier. Take care of your mind, it matters as much as the body.
Honestly office stress was my biggest issue. What helped was setting boundaries and not checking mails after a point. If stress is becoming too much and affecting sleep or BP, do mention to your gynac, they take it seriously.
My doctor explained that constant high stress can affect BP and sometimes sleep and appetite. She said occasional worry is totally fine, baby is well protected, but chronic stress is what we should manage. She suggested light walks and a proper routine.
First of all, it's so normal to feel stressed, don't be hard on yourself. For me too much stress made my sleep bad and I would get headaches. I started doing small breathing things and talking to my husband more, it really helped.
