What causes delay in menstruation apart from pregnancy?
My period is late but pregnancy test is negative, so I am confused. Stress has been high and my sleep is also bad this month. What else can delay periods like this?
Thyroid was a big one for me, my periods went all over the place until it got treated. If your cycles are irregular please get a simple thyroid test done, it's an easy thing to miss.
So many things honestly, stress, travel, sudden weight loss or gain, thyroid issues, even just a viral illness can push your period. If test is negative and it's a one off, usually nothing to panic about.
Before I knew I was pregnant I'd had a few stress related delays from exams and stuff. Stress messes the cycle so much. If you've tested negative maybe it's just that going on?
For me delays were almost always PCOS related, my cycles were never regular. Stress, weight changes, thyroid all play a role too. If it's happening often pls get a check, dont just keep waiting each month.
Beta a delayed period isn't always something big, lots of normal things cause it, stress and lifestyle mostly. But if it keeps happening regularly, do see a gynac once to be sure all is fine.
