My BP was little high at my last checkup and now I am checking it again and again at home. I never had BP issue before pregnancy, so thoda tension ho raha hai. What can make it increase suddenly?
Stress and not resting enough can make it worse, I learnt that the hard way running between work and home. Try to slow down, eat less salty, and never skip the bp check at each visit, it's quick.
Could be many reasons, genes, weight, stress, sometimes no clear reason. Main thing is don't miss your bp checkups and reduce extra salt. If it's high they will keep a close eye on you.
My gynac said it can be from existing bp issues, family history, being overweight, stress, or it can develop on its own in pregnancy. She told me to watch for swelling, headaches and blurry vision and report immediately if any.
I had high bp in my pregnancy and it can be serious, sometimes it leads to something called preeclampsia. Please get it checked regularly and don't take it lightly, my doctor monitored me closely the whole time.
Don't panic about it, it's manageable when caught early. Just keep your appointments, rest properly and let the doctor track it. They know exactly how to handle bp in pregnancy.
I used to worry a lot about this. Honestly the best thing is regular monitoring so it's caught early. If you ever get a bad headache, dizziness or sudden swelling, please call your doctor that same day.
