Got my blood report and the neutrophils are showing high, rest looks ok. Im 22 weeks. Will ask my doc on next visit but till then im a bit tense, anyone had this come up in their reports too?
Oh god, when my reports came, I used to overthink everything, checking every single value! But honestly, only your doc can properly explain what high neutrophils mean for *your* pregnancy. Don't google too much, it just creates unnecessary anxiety. Call your doc.
With my thyroid issues during pregnancy, I learned that lab results can fluctuate, and it's always the overall picture your doctor looks at. High neutrophils could be many things, some normal in pregnancy, some not. Definitely follow up with your gynac and ask for their interpretation.
My reports also had some slightly off numbers sometimes, and my doctor just said it's normal variations in pregnancy, nothing to worry about usually. Did your doc say anything about it yet? I'm also still pregnant, so I totally relate with your question, it's so confusing.
Beta, blood test reports are always a bit confusing, na? For these kinds of technical things, it's best to show it to your gynac. Don't worry yourself too much before talking to the doc. They will explain it all clearly for your situation.
After my C-section, I was monitoring all my reports very closely for a while. With blood counts like neutrophils, only a doctor can tell you if it's significant for your health and needs attention. Please consult your gynac right away; they are the experts.
