Im in my 8th month and my gynac mentioned the baby has dropped or something like that. Keep hearing this word lightening from a few ladies here. Can someone explain what it actually means and did you feel any difference when it happened?
For me lightening happened about ten days before delivery and the pressure down there increased. It felt like the baby settled lower. My doctor said it's a good normal sign, nothing to worry about.
Lightening is basically when the baby drops down into the pelvis near the end, getting ready for delivery. Suddenly you can breathe easier because the bump moves lower. Happened to me a couple weeks before labour both times.
Oh I'm waiting for this so badly, my lungs need a break yaar. They told me once baby drops the breathing gets easier but you pee even more. Honestly at this point I'll take any small relief.
Haan it just means baby has come down lower na, ready for the journey out. My belly literally looked lower in the last weeks. Doc confirmed engagement at my checkup, so don't worry it's normal.
