What does no evidence of intrauterine pregnancy mean?
I recently had an ultrasound, and the report says 'no evidence of intrauterine pregnancy.' I'm very confused and worried about what this actually means for me.
My mother-in-law said sometimes scans are done too early so we should wait. But I feel you must show this report to your doctor immediately, especially if you have pain or bleeding. Stay calm and consult them.
Oh, iska matlab shayad abhi scan me thik se dikh nahi raha, maybe pregnancy bohot early hai. Mera toh mann bas chaat khane ka ho raha hai par aap please stress mat lo aur doctor se clear baat karo.
I know this must be so stressful, and when I had bad morning sickness, any small report issue would make me cry. Please don't panic, sometimes it's just too early to see anything, but check with your doctor for sure today itself.
Oh, I am also in my 2nd trimester now and I remember how scary these early reports are. Has anyone else got this in their early scan? Did you have to repeat the scan after a week? Please let us know.
Actually, my doctor explained that 'no evidence of intrauterine pregnancy' usually means either it's too early (less than 5 weeks), or it could be an ectopic pregnancy or a chemical pregnancy. You should get a Beta hCG blood test done twice to see if the levels are doubling, ask your gynac about this.
In our hospital, the staff explained that sometimes if the scan is done too early, they can't see the sac inside the uterus. You should immediately double-check with your gynac or the senior radiologist to understand what to do next.
