What exercise to do first trimster pregnancy women?
Just found out im pregnant, must be around 6-7 weeks. I want to stay a little active but im scared of doing anything that might be too much this early. What kind of light exercise is okay in the first trimester?
Light movement is good but the first trimester is delicate, so clear it with your doctor first. For most low risk pregnancies, walking and prenatal yoga are recommended. Just avoid anything strenuous or with a fall risk.
In my first trimester I stuck to gentle walking and light prenatal yoga, only after my doctor said it was okay. Nothing intense, no heavy lifting or jumping. Listen to your body and stop if you feel tired or dizzy.
Walking is the safest and easiest, plus some gentle stretching and breathing. Avoid heavy gym workouts and risky moves early on. But honestly get your gynac's nod first, especially if it's a high risk pregnancy.
I was scared to even walk fast in my first trimester, did others feel that too? My doctor said slow walks and light yoga are fine. That reassured me, now I do small evening walks.
