My gynac suggested a 3d scan in coming weeks and im a little curious what it shows differently from the normal scans i already did. Is it just for seeing the baby clearly or some medical reason? Anyone done this?
I got a 3D scan around 28 weeks and I felt so emotional seeing my baby's little face. It really made everything feel real. It is not a must medically, but for me it was a beautiful memory.
Just so you know, the 3D scan usually costs extra and is mostly for the nice pictures, not always needed medically. I skipped it to save money and the regular scans were enough. If budget is tight, dont feel pressured into it.
A 3D scan gives a more lifelike picture of the baby's features compared to the usual 2D. My doctor said it is often optional and done a bit later, mainly for a clearer view, while 2D is enough for medical checks. She suggested it only if I wanted the keepsake images.
