My doctor mentioned some CT test in my reports and i forgot to ask her properly what it actually means. Now im sitting at home overthinking it. Has anyone had this done, what is it for?
I think you might mean the NT scan or a clotting test, the term ct can be confusing. CT scans with radiation are generally avoided in pregnancy unless truly necessary. Please ask your gynac exactly which test they meant, so you understand it properly.
I got confused by all these test names too honestly. Did your doctor explain each one to you? I usually just ask mine to write down what the test is for so I'm not anxious.
Honestly there are so many test abbreviations in pregnancy it's easy to mix them up. The simplest thing is to ask your doctor or the lab what ct stands for in your report. Dont guess from the letters alone, just ask them directly.
