My gynac wrote fetal echo on my next scan list and I honestly dont know what it is. Im 22 weeks and got a bit tension, is it some special test for the baby's heart? Anyone who has done it pls share.
Haan, ye bas ek special scan hota hai baby ke heart ke liye. Gynac bas check karte hain ki sab thik chal raha hai na. Kuch ghabrane wali baat nahi hoti, normal ultrasound ki tarah hi hota hai.
For me, they did this scan around the 22nd week. It is completely painless, just like a normal anomaly scan but focused only on the heart. After going through my C-section, I realized how important these early checkups are to keep us prepared and relaxed.

Actually, it is just a detailed ultrasound of the baby's heart. Because of my PCOS, my gynac wanted to be 100% sure and suggested it around 21 weeks. It is normal to feel thoda nervous but it is mostly a routine check, so try not to stress.
Same here, my doctor advised a fetal echo in my 5th month because of my sugar issues. It is a specialized scan to check the baby's heart chambers and blood flow properly. Just have a small, healthy snack before you go so the baby moves around nicely during the scan!
