My doc wrote target scan in my next appointment and i forgot to ask her what exactly it is. is it the same as the anomaly scan? feeling a little anxious about it na, want to understand before i go.
I have my target scan coming up next week and I'm so nervous about it, haha. They check the baby fully right? Did others also feel anxious before this one? Hoping everything is perfect.
The target scan, also called anomaly scan, is usually done around 18 to 22 weeks. My gynac said it checks the baby's organs, growth and development in detail. Its an important one, they look at heart, brain, spine, everything. Dont skip it.
Its the detailed anomaly scan around the 5th month that checks all the baby's organs and development. Both times mine took a bit longer than other scans because they examine everything carefully. Totally important, make sure u get it done on time.
