I'm trying to figure out the best time to take a home pregnancy test for the most accurate results. When is generally the ideal time to take it, like morning or evening, and how many days after a missed period? I don't want a false negative result.
If you want to test at home, definitely use the very first urine in the morning for the most accurate result. In the meantime, drink lots of warm water and avoid heavy food if you are feeling a bit nauseous. But if you have any severe cramping or spotting, skip the home tests and go see a doctor immediately.
Tested first thing in the morning right after my period was late by a day, and boom, those two beautiful lines came up! I was so excited that I immediately went and celebrated with a huge plate of hot chole bhature, haha! Definitely test in the morning on an empty stomach for the best result.
My doctor told me that the hCG hormone peaks in the early morning urine, so that's the absolute best time to test. She also advised waiting until at least the first day of your missed period to avoid getting a false negative, as testing too early might not detect the hormone.
Haan, testing ke liye best time subah ki pehli urine hoti hai, usme hormone level strong hota hai na. Period miss hone ke ek-do din baad test karogi toh clear double line dikh jayegi, bas thoda sabar rakhna!
I can only tell you what worked for me. I tested in the afternoon once and got a very faint line that confused me, but when I tested again the next morning with the first urine, the line was super dark and clear. So morning testing is definitely what I'd recommend.
I'm also currently trying to conceive and keep wondering when is the perfect day to test! Do you think testing 2 days before the expected period with a morning sample works, or is it better to wait until the actual missed period date? The wait is so hard!
