I totally understand if you are going through this right now, it is so painful. It is almost never because of something you did wrong, please remember that. Give yourself time to heal and let your doctor support you.
I went through this and it broke my heart, so I really feel for whoever is asking. My doctor gently explained its often a chromosomal issue from the start and not anyone's fault. Please be kind to yourself and lean on your doctor for the why.
My gynac explained that in an anembryonic pregnancy the sac forms but the embryo doesnt develop, usually due to a random chromosomal problem at fertilization. She was clear it isnt caused by anything the mother did. The exact cause is best discussed with your own doctor with your reports.
