Everyone at home has a different list of fruits to avoid and I am honestly confused. One aunty says no papaya, another says no pineapple, then someone says mango also. What did your gynac tell you?
At home elders told me skip raw papaya, and dont go overboard on pineapple. Otherwise banana, apple, guava, pomegranate all are wonderful. I followed family advice but always checked the big things with my doctor.
No fruit is fully banned but if u have sugar issues like me, go easy on very sweet ones like mango and chikoo. Portion control matters more than cutting them out. Your doc can guide based on ur reports.
My gynac said the main ones people worry about are unripe papaya and excessive pineapple, mostly as a precaution. She said the bigger thing is washing all fruits well to avoid infection. No need to fear most normal fruits.
Beta in our homes they always avoid raw papaya and too much pineapple in pregnancy, thats the old advice. Ripe fruits in normal amount are fine. But every body is different so do confirm with ur doctor.
Honestly most fruits are healthy and fine. The commonly avoided ones are raw papaya and a lot of pineapple. Rather than a long banned list, just eat varied and washed fruit and check anything specific with ur doc.
