What should i eat during first trimester of pregnancy?
I am 7 weeks and feeling hungry but also nauseous, so my meals are very random. MIL keeps telling me to eat for two but I can barely finish breakfast. What simple foods worked for you in first trimester?
With my PCOS I tried to keep meals balanced and not too sugary, more protein and fiber. But everyone is different so do run your diet by your gynac, especially the supplements part.
Beta eat home cooked simple food, dal chawal, sabzi, fruits, and a little ghee. Sip on coconut water if nausea bothers. And take the iron and folic tablets the doctor gave, dont skip those.
My doctor focused on folate, so leafy greens, dal, eggs, plus fruits and enough protein. She told me to take the folic acid tablet daily without fail in this trimester. Keep it simple and balanced, nothing fancy.
First trimester I could barely keep food down, so honestly whatever stayed in was a win. I ate small bites often, dry toast, curd rice, fruit. Dont force a big meal, just eat little and frequent and keep your folic acid going.
Realistically I kept easy stuff handy, fruits, nuts, curd, boiled eggs, poha. On busy days a banana and a glass of milk saved me. Just dont skip meals and keep snacks in your bag.
Ate what I could tolerate honestly, my fancy diet plans went out the window with nausea haha. Khichdi and curd became my best friends. Listen to your body, just add fruits and veggies where you can.
