Me and my husband are planning to start trying soon and we booked a pre pregnancy checkup. im going blank on what all things i should actually ask the doctor in that visit. Can you all share what questions helped you?
We just started planning so this is exactly what I researched. I'd ask about folic acid, any vaccines needed, and which tests to do before conceiving. Also good to mention any family history of health issues.
With PCOS I made sure to ask about managing my cycles and weight before trying. Everyone's checklist is a bit different so share your full history. It helped me feel more prepared honestly.
Also ask about the preconception test costs and which ones are really needed. I planned the basic ones first. No point doing every expensive test if the doctor says it's not required.
Before conceiving my doctor checked thyroid, sugar, hemoglobin and rubella immunity. She also started me on folic acid 3 months prior. Ask about your current medicines too, some need changing before pregnancy.
