This constipation is honestly the worst part for me right now, second trimester. MIL keeps giving me random things but nothing is really helping. Anyone found a particular food or routine that worked? curious to know.

I had sugar issues so I had to be careful, I focused on high fibre veggies and small portions of fruit rather than too much sweet stuff. Lots of water and chana, oats helped me. If you have any condition, just plan the diet with your doctor.
Don't stress too much about it, it is super common in pregnancy. Just up your fruits, water and a small walk and you'll feel better. And mention it to your doc at the next visit, they hear it all the time.
Fibre is your friend, eat plenty of fruits, veggies, and add soaked figs or prunes. Drink loads of water through the day, that matters more than people think. Walk a little after meals and it really helps.
Beta, in our time we soaked a few munakka and figs overnight and ate them in the morning, it worked gently. Also warm water on empty stomach. But if it stays bad for long, do tell your doctor, don't take any churan on your own.
My mother told me to have ragi and plenty of greens, and to not skip water, calm simple food helped me a lot. Buttermilk also felt good. If it does not improve, your gynac can suggest something safe.
Yaar same problem I had, actually papaya, oranges and lots of water sorted me out mostly. Also I cut down on too much rice and added more salad. Try morning walk na, it actually moves things along.
