What to eat to lower blood sugar during pregnancy?
My sugar came a little high in the test and doc said to watch my diet, im in the third trimester. Bit stressed honestly. What foods helped u all keep it in control? share ur experience pls.
I switched to millets and more vegetables and cut down sweets, my mother helped me plan meals. A little walk after eating made a difference too. Still, please show your sugar reports to the doctor and follow their chart.
I wont claim to be an expert, but with my PCOS background I was already careful with sugar. Whole grains, protein, and avoiding sweets helped me. For pregnancy specifically though, please let your gynac guide the diet.
I had GD so I get this. What worked for me was more fibre, veggies, dal, less rice and sweets, and pairing carbs with protein. But please get a proper diet chart from your doctor or dietician, they tailor it to your sugar levels.
My doctor said focus on complex carbs like oats, millets, whole wheat instead of white rice and maida, and add protein with every meal. Small frequent meals kept my spikes down. Definitely follow your own diet plan from the doc though.
With a busy schedule I kept it simple, no sugary drinks, chose roti over rice, and lots of veggies and dal. A short walk after meals really helped my readings. But your dietician should set your exact plan.
