Everyone keeps telling me alag alag cheezein to avoid and now Im honestly so confused what to actually cut from my sabzi. Im in first tri and want to be careful. Which veggies did your doc tell you to skip?
Meri saas bolti thi ki patta gobhi aur gobi thodi kam khaao pregnancy mein, gas ho sakti hai. Aur haan, papita toh bilkul nahi. Otherwise, all normal veggies were fine, just made sure they were fresh.
Just recently delivered, and I mostly avoided raw sprouts and certain unwashed greens outside the home. Also, some docs say brinjal is not ideal but mine said it's okay in moderation. Better to be safe, haan.
Generally, raw sprouts should be avoided, and some people limit brinjal or fenugreek leaves (methi) in early pregnancy, but there's no strong medical reason for most. Just make sure everything is well-washed and thoroughly cooked. And check with your doc if you're confused.
Just focus on eating healthy and fresh, beta. Stay positive and believe in God's blessings. Consult your doctor for specific advice, but generally, home-cooked vegetables are always good for you and the baby.
With my PCOS history, I was extra careful with everything. I made sure to discuss all my diet plans with my doctor. It's best to check with your gynac regarding any specific vegetables, especially if you have a medical history.
Honestly, I didn't actively avoid many vegetables. My gynac just said to wash everything really well and cook it properly. I just ate what my body craved and what felt good. Never had any issues, thankfully.
For me, ensuring good digestion was key during pregnancy. So I avoided anything that felt heavy or caused gas, like sometimes certain beans. After my C-section, light cooked veggies were the best for recovery, so plan accordingly.
