I felt so lost about what to eat in my first trimester. I strictly stayed away from raw seafood, half-boiled eggs, and unpasteurized cheese. Also, my mom made sure I didn't touch raw papaya or excessive ginger tea.
Just stick to fresh, home-cooked Indian food. Avoid outside Chinese food because of MSG, skip raw papaya and pineapple, and don't eat stale leftovers. It's the simplest way to stay safe without stressing too much.
Oh god, I used to check every single dish on Google before eating! But basically, just avoid raw papaya, pineapple, Chinese food with ajinomoto, and any raw or undercooked meats. Also, wash all your fruits and veggies thrice to avoid any bacteria!
Because of my PCOS, I was extra careful about food. Avoid raw papaya, pineapple, and uncooked eggs or raw meat. Also, keep your caffeine intake really low, it's safer that way.
Because I had gestational diabetes, I had to be very careful with my diet. Along with avoiding raw papaya, raw eggs, and unpasteurized dairy, please watch out for high-sugar juices and refined flour early on. Keep your meals balanced and clean.
I'm currently in my second trimester and still terrified of accidentally eating something bad. In my first trimester, I completely avoided unpasteurized milk, raw papaya, and high-mercury fish like tuna. Did anyone else get super anxious about salads from restaurants too?
