I'm in my second trimester and heard about colostrum, the first milk. I'm curious to know when it typically starts to come in during pregnancy. Is it different for everyone?
For me, it didn't leak at all during my pregnancy, but right after my normal delivery, it was there for the baby. Don't squeeze or pump it beforehand. Just let your body do its magic naturally.
Colostrum can start leaking anytime in the late second or third trimester, or sometimes only after delivery. I noticed some spots on my shirt during office hours around week 30. It's totally normal, just use nursing pads.
Beta, this yellow milk is very precious for the newborn baby. It can start leaking slightly in the eighth or ninth month. Just wear soft cotton clothes and don't try to press or express it yourself. God has planned everything beautifully.
It varies a lot from person to person. Some see it around the 6th month, others only after the baby is born. Just stay calm, your body is preparing well.
Oh my God, I started seeing tiny yellow drops in my 24th week and panicked thinking I was going into early labor! But my gynac assured me it's just colostrum and completely normal. Don't worry, even if it doesn't leak before birth, it's fine!
